Important Considerations
What you need to know before starting your project
Surface Prep Determines the Final Result
We spend as much time preparing surfaces as we do painting. Skipping prep — failing to sand, prime, or repair — leads to peeling, visible patches, and uneven color within months. The finish is only as good as what's underneath it.
Paint Takes Time to Fully Cure
Fresh paint looks good quickly but doesn't reach full hardness for 2–4 weeks. During that time, be careful when cleaning walls, hanging items, or placing furniture against painted surfaces. We'll walk you through what to avoid and for how long.
Weather Matters for Exterior Work
We monitor temperature and humidity closely for exterior projects. Paint applied in the wrong conditions — too hot, too cold, too humid — won't adhere or cure correctly. We schedule exterior work around the forecast and won't paint in conditions that would compromise the finish.
VOCs & Indoor Ventilation
Interior painting produces fumes. We recommend opening windows and running fans during and for 24–48 hours after work, especially in rooms where children or people with sensitivities spend time. We offer low-VOC paint options on request — just let us know.
