Important Considerations
What you need to know before starting your project
Custom Work Has Lead Times
Custom-built pieces require fabrication time. Unlike off-the-shelf products, we build to your exact specifications in our shop. Plan for 1–3 weeks of fabrication time before installation begins, depending on the scope and complexity of the project.
Finishing Takes Time to Do Right
If the piece is being painted or stained on-site, finishing requires multiple coats with proper drying and sanding time between each. Rushing this process produces a mediocre result that shows. We build cure time into the schedule and don't cut it short.
Sawdust & Site Conditions
Carpentry produces sawdust — during cutting, sanding, and installation. We contain it as much as possible and clean up thoroughly each day, but some dust is unavoidable during active work phases. We'll let you know when the messiest work is happening.
Prep Work Is What Shows
The quality of any finished carpentry piece comes down almost entirely to prep — sanding, filling, and priming. We invest the time here so the final result looks like fine furniture rather than contractor-grade cabinetry. That's the difference you can see and feel.
