Important Considerations
What you need to know before starting your project
Living Arrangements During the Remodel
For full home remodels, most homeowners choose to relocate during the peak construction phases — typically weeks 2 through 8. We'll walk you through what each phase will feel like and help you plan accordingly. Some clients stay on-site with a phased approach; others prefer to be out entirely.
Decision Timeline & Material Lead Times
Every material selection — cabinets, countertops, tile, flooring, fixtures — must be finalized before that portion of work begins. Custom cabinets have 6–8 week lead times. Delays in decisions delay the project. We'll give you a clear decision deadline for each phase.
Budget Contingency
We recommend setting aside a 10–15% contingency reserve for items discovered during demolition or changes you decide to make mid-project. On full home remodels, something unexpected almost always comes up behind the walls. Being prepared for it keeps the project moving.
Dedicated Project Management
Every full home remodel has a dedicated project manager. You'll receive weekly written updates, daily site access, and a direct line to reach your PM at any time. You won't be left guessing about where things stand.
